I mailed a bunch of the prizes off today, so winners start checking your mailboxes early next week! In other news, I’ve been working on the sequel to Sucks to Be Me. Kinda slogging along, but it’s getting there. My biggest problem right now is making sure I don’t go back and fix the stuff that I know needs fixing. I need to just get through the first draft and be done with it!
I do need to go back and re-work my outline too. I’m hoping to get that done tomorrow. I’ve changed a lot of things around — but only in my head. I need to write down the skeleton again before I get off track.

Hi, I’ve gotten it narrowed down some, but hadn’t done as much with it this weekend as I had intended because my cat Harley is really sick.
I think we’re probably going to have to take him to the vet for the last time tomorrow.
Oh no, I hope he gets better! Is it because he caught something or of his age?
We had to have him put to sleep today.
He had a nasal tumor (which we found out about 2 months or so ago) and on Sunday it broke through into his eye cavity and was pushing his eye out (the whole side of his head was swollen). It was really awful. I’m really sad that we had to take him to the vet, but I’m glad that he’s not sufferring any longer. We had him for 14 years. He was a really great cat and I miss him already.
I am terribly sorry for your lost. My aunt-in-law was really close to her two dogs and when they died, she was extremely sad for a period of time. Are you planning on getting another pet?
We have another cat, so I don’t think we’ll be getting any other pets any time soon. Maybe when Max is older we’ll get him a dog. My husband loves dogs.
awww i’m sorry about your cat. my dog, Toto, had to be put to sleep around June because she was having trouble breathing and couldn’t get up steps very well. she was 13 years old. And i’m 15, so that’s almost my entire life. Oh, and in May I had to get rid of my two golden retriever/labrador dogs because they had attacked and killed two cats in the neighborhood. I really miss them.
It definitely helps having another animal, though, when you lose one.
