Accelerated Reading Program (AR)

I’ve had a couple of teachers ask me if Sucks to Be Me is going to be in the AR program, so I contacted the company to find out exactly how that works. They said I can send them copies of the book and supporting documents and they’ll consider it, but I understand that the most likely way to get a book into the AR program is via teachers actually making the request through their website at http://www.renlearn.com/ar/titlesuggestions.asp

So, if you’re a teacher and would like to see Sucks to Be Me in the AR program (which I think would be awesome) :-) please go to http://www.renlearn.com/ar/titlesuggestions.asp and fill in the form. Thanks!

If you do and email me, I’ll also be happy to send you some stickers or bookmarks (and, if I can get some hardcopies, a copy of the discussion guide for the book).

I miss the Accelerated Reading Program… It seems to me as all teachers in elementary school wanted kids to do was read. However, in high school (and middle school) they couldn’t care less. We never have SSR anymore, so the only time I can really read at school is during lunch, or whenever the teacher isn’t talking. Which, is almost never.
I never did read as much in elementary school as i did now, but i should have.
