Hey! I just found out (by accident…or, at least, not by purposeful searching) that Sucks to Be Me was nominated for the 2008 Cybils Awards in the Fantasy / Science Fiction category. Isn’t that cool? Wish me luck! And thank you to whoever nominated the book! There’s a lot of great books on the list — you should check them all out!

You never know. Though, strangely enough, two of the panelists for that particular category happen to be bloggers who didn’t particularly love STBM! Since about 90% of the reviews and feedback I’ve seen have liked it, that’s kind of a weird coincidence! But you never know 
All books aren’t for all people and if you’re looking for a serious read with dark, gothic vampires, STBM isn’t the book for you!
That’s true. If you win the award, exactly what do you get? Is it like a little design on the cover saying the book won it and that’s all?
I dunno – the Cybils are pretty new. I doubt if the publishers actually put them on the cover of books as yet. But maybe. Mostly it’s just a nice honorary thing.
