Look what I found yesterday! Vaya vida que me espera — information on the Spanish release of Sucks to Be Me! My Spanish is pretty rusty, but it looks like it will be coming out in October in Spanish. I can’t wait to see it and what they do with the cover! Doesn’t look like “Sucks to Be Me” translates real well, but that’s okay. I couldn’t think of any way to translate it either!
For anyone who’s Spanish is better than mine, how would you translate Vaya vida que me espera?

i think it translates: i expect death. but i havent been useing spainsh scince schools been out so it may not be right
I *used* to be fairly good at Spanish and did okay when we traveled to Spain. But now it takes me forever to translate stuff.
The direct translation seems to be “life that hopes to me” on Babel Fish and “I expected life to go” on SpanishDict.com. FreeTranslation.com says “Go life that expects me” so I’m thinking that the one from SpanishDict.com seems to be the best. So Sarah seems about right. It’s pretty much saying that Mina expected to die (or her “life to go”), as in she’d become a vampire and technically “die” to become one.
Anyway, congrats on it getting translated to Spanish! That’s got to be exciting!
Very
I can’t wait to see what they do with the cover. As part of the contract I get a few copies in Spanish. I’ll have to do a giveaway when I get them.
The translation for Vaya in Spanish is Go. But it could be use as an expression. Like finally, or look. I know there are more. Espera means wait in English.
So, Vaya Vida Que Me Espera will be translated into. . .
Look at This Life That Awaits Me.
I think its pretty cool, considering that Mina does have the worderful bone known as sarcasm.
I think the title is supposed to be sarcastic.
Oh, that makes sense! Works for me!
