Have you heard about the awesome Great Scavenger Hunt Contest that author Kay Cassidy started? If you’re a librarian or teacher and you haven’t gotten involved yet…what are you waiting for (and hey, teens? If your librarian isn’t participating…now would be a good time to go give ‘em a whack on the head. Though, okay, maybe only figuratively, not literally. Don’t want a bunch of black and blue librarians out there.)?
I’m officially now a participating author with Sucks to Be Me and soon with Still Sucks to Be Me. I’m also going to be donating books to Kay to give away.
Good luck in the scavenger hunt!
And Happy Reading!

what made you want to write a book about a 17 year old (undead) vampire.I personally really really really want to know if your going to write and publish another one of your fabulous, amazing, outstanding books of yours. Also I would like to know how old were you when you thought you would be a good a good writer. And also did you go through what Mina Hamilton (Smith) went trough.
Hi Emma!
I never would have thought a vampire book would be my first one! I guess you could say the idea just came to me and then Mina took over
I hope to be able to write a third Mina book. No word on that yet from the publisher. I have written a new book (not a Mina book) that my agent has now.
I dunno that I’ve ever necessarily thought I was a “good” writer.
I’m always learning more about writing. But, I did always want to be a writer! I wrote all the time when I was a teenager.
I did go through the moving to a small town in the middle of nowhere part. I spent my last two years of high school in a really, really small town in Mississippi.
I just finished reading both of your books and they are absolutely addicting to read! xP You said that you have another book about Mina with your agent. What’s the title and is Cameron going to be back? x] oh, and I was wondering, how did you choose that girl on the cover to be Mina? (she doesn’t have red hair lol) xD Well, can’t wait for the next book!
Hi Ariel! Thanks! So glad you liked them!
The book that’s out with my agent right now isn’t a Mina book; it’s something totally different, but also funny.
However, I do hope to write a third Mina book, which will probably be called something like “Still Sucks to Be Moi” or something similar (it’s set in France and Europe) and would have TONS more about Cameron.
I didn’t pick the girl on the cover (her name is Taylor). Covers are something that the publishers pick. Heck, check out the Spanish covers — totally different!!
What got you seriously inspired to become an author????????
Did you decide when you were 8, 10 , 18, jus wondering.
Well, I’ve always wanted to write. I don’t know that I ever decided exactly. I just always wanted to do it!
