So, did you notice anything different? I finally launched my new website! Hope you like it. Notice the pink cat? (Pssstttt….newsletter subscribers will find out why that cat is pink first…) Take a look around and tell me what you think!
You’ll notice I’ve created a new section called Giveaways and Cool Stuff. That’s where you’ll find contests as well as instructions on how to get FREE ahem signed bookplates and temporary tattoos, as well as find out where you could order a Sucks to Be Me T-shirt (and help out an awesome literacy charity at the same time).
Speaking of T-shirts, I hit 1500 followers over on Twitter and have given away my first T-shirt for the Twitter T-Shirt Giveaway! Woot! The shirt went to @PageTurnersBlog and she chose the Vampire Squirrel in navy. Good choice. Can’t wait to see a picture of it!!
The next shirt will be given away at 2000 followers, so get following if you haven’t already!!
There are going to be some really BIG giveaways and promotions coming up, so stay tuned. I’ve got some big plans and I’m very excited!
In other news, I found out from a fan in Croatia that, apparently, Sucks to Be Me will be coming out in Croatian soon! I actually signed the contract on that eons ago and hadn’t heard anything else about it, so I wasn’t sure what was going on. Very exciting. They did a cover very similar to the Spanish cover. What do you think? I like it! Can’t wait to see it in person!
The reader said it basically translates as “I Hate to Be Me” which is a pretty good translation, all in all. That was one thing I hadn’t thought of with the title in English — how it translates to other languages!
In personal news, Max had his Harvest Festival today. He was adorable, as per usual. He did pretty good reciting the poem with his class, though he forgot to keep talking towards the end and just did the hand motions. Still, awesome first performance from the little guy!
