Ze History: The first working title I had for this book wwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyy back when was France Bites but that was back when the original title of the first book was This Bites so obviously that doesn’t work any more and, quite frankly, was a little insulting towards the French… Then the title was going to be Sucks to Be Moi and that’s what the original prelude was put out under.
HOWEVER, since that has been out I’ve had people confused whether it was in fact the title of the third book OR if it was the first book translated into French (which it has been btw…but the title in French is actually Porquoi Moi?). Obviously that could be an issue if people don’t think it’s the third book when they see the title (and could also cause issues if the third book ever were to be translated into French…). For those reasons, I’m rather leaning towards the first one. But what do YOU think?

First of all, I am SOOOOO excited that you’ve decided to make a third Mina book!
I really like the title Still Sucks to be Me, Even in Paris.
I can’t wait to hear more about the book!!!!
I like the sucks to be me, even in Paris. Or: even in Paris it sucks to be me. Either way I love that you are writing the third book.nit would be AWESOME if you put it actual book form so that way those that have already purchased the actual books will be able to complete the series instead of having some books here and the other one on a electronic device. I am a person who in order to read a book needs to have the physical thing plus it would be nice to have the physical thing so I can expand my library, which has pretty much all of you books that you have out.
I would love to do it in actual book form! Not sure yet if that will happen though. But stay tuned & sign up for the newsletter, etc. If I’m able to, you guys will be the first to know!

So,I talked to my sisters about the third book and they gave another idea for the name… Maybe:” Still sucks to be me, even across the sea” What do you think? Oh well, I’m your #1 fan for life!!!

P.S. Yeah… My name is french so that kinda explains why I’m happy Mina’s going to France!! Though, I’m not from France, I’m from Canada!!
I like the idea of having some French in there (because I’m addicted to French and I will be visiting France soon.) so I like Still Sucks to be Moi, or maybe something like Still Sucks to be Moi, even in Paris.,, or something with moi in it because it’s cute and ties into the book. Everytime I talked about it to my little sister, I called it Still Sucks to be Moi.
This has made my summer! You are really the best and I just can’t get over how much you obviously care about your fans!

Oh la la! I had to take an 11 hour plane flight and then a long ride on the Chunnel! If its only a 2 hour train ride away, you should definetly visit again!

I am very pleased to see a third book too! Do you get to go to Paris now for “research” purposes?

I prefer “Sucks to be Me, Even in Paris.” I guess I’m all for dropping the word “Still” and not putting Me in French; something just does not set right about that with me; maybe it is the way it does not roll smoothly off the tongue.

I like “Always Sucks to Be Me”. It still kind of goes with the other titles, but I also like “Sucks to be Moi” because it goes with the Paris theme. I can’t wait until this book comes out–I LOVED the first two!

Late comment but I think Sucks to be Moi III would be nice! Then people will know its the third with the nice french play on words.

I think it should be Sucks to me Moi because it brings out the fact that their in Paris, France!
“Still Really Sucks To Be Me” really sticks with me. It goes with the previous titles, and leaves it open for another book. I wouldn’t object to “Still Really Sucks To Be Me, Even In Paris” but it might be a bit long, as I’m assuming it will also have ‘more all-true confessions of Mina Hamilton Smith, teen vampire’ attached to the end. But I understand with the translating into other languages how having ‘Moi’ instead of ‘Me’ would get a bit garbled or hard to show the difference between the two.
Either way, I am excited that this series is continuing and can’t wait for it to be out!
I might leave off the whole “more true-confessions” part as it is SO long. Not sure yet.
