Been wondering where I’ve been and what the heck is going on? Two things, actually…the main one being that I’ve been sick for almost 4 weeks now (some of it normal flu-ish-ness and some of it related to an ongoing and terribly UGH and as yet undiagnosed problem I’ve been having for a while) and the second being that we’re packing for our move. The countdown for the move is officially on now…9 more days to go! And I’ll have an office again!
The Max is also back in school as of yesterday. I’ve tried to do a lot of fun things with him this summer (oh, the museums!) though it has been a bit hard with the being sick stuff. I had 4 days last week where I couldn’t leave the house at all. I won’t bore (or disgust) you with all the details, just suffice it to say that it’s been rough. The doctor is doing a whole bunch of bloodwork on Monday and I’m waiting on the results of a brain scan but HOPEFULLY it’ll all be figured out soon. Cross fingers.
AND now that Max is back in school, things can get back on track with the book. I’ve been reading all the comments you’ve been leaving (and they’re awesome!) and thinking about them and have actually done a little bit of planning and re-arranging work. Once we’ve moved and unpacked, it’s down to serious business. Serious writing, that is.
I’m really looking forward to it. I feel like it has been AGES since I was able to sit down and write. Well, it has, really. When The Max is off school, it’s just Max-time. Good thing he’s so darn cute.
Anyway…I haven’t asked a question this week (or last…erm…sorry about that…last week was just really, really horrid) so what I’d like to do instead is give YOU a chance to ask ME questions. Ask anything. Ask anything about the book or whatever that you want. I will do my best to answer (provided I don’t have to give away huge chunks of plot…as it wouldn’t be any fun to read it after that, would it?).

When does the book come out?
The honest answer is that I don’t know. It’s been going a bit slower than I’d hoped as I didn’t get much of anything done this summer due to The Max and being ill. As soon as I have any firm ideas, I’ll post!
Will Mina end up with Cameron in the end?
Can’t answer that one! That would give something HUGE away! And honestly, would you want to know that ahead of time?

So I re read the short story and thought about the character Alexander and Astrid … Is there going to be romance between them ? will he help Mina find Astrid ? Is he actually a vampire and is Astrid one too or in the process of being one ? (which I think that if she isn’t already she should be ) While shes kidnapped do you think Cameron and her will get closer like maybe he starts feeling something for her …. Like something more and actually ends up loving her ? And hmmm maybe he tries to release Astrid but she’s turned into vampire (if she’s not one already) before he knows it and reaches out for Mina to let her know because he’s worried about her but George sees them meet each other secretively because he cant be seen or known about because of orders by the black talons which makes him think Mina is seeing some other boy so he gets jealous and kinda breaks things off but somehow they get back together and I don’t know I’m still thinking about Alexander and Cameron should Astrid end up with Cameron ? And maybe there can be a twist like Alexander is Astrid’s brother and that’s why he’s helping look for her you know besides them being together since ever maybe they could have been turned at the same time ! Well yeah that’s more like a lot of I don’t know suggestions?? But id be really cool if something like this happened in the story Haha but yeah that was long and sorry that it was Long I just started typing and ideas started to flow out (x Hope you can reply and hint me stuff about what is there to expect like some big twist you know?(: Bye hope you get better (: can’t wait for the book to come out . Honestly, I’d stuck Alexander in there to begin with because the real-life Astrid (the one who won the contest to be in the short story that now is going to turn into book three) had a friend named Alexander she told me about. Now that I’m re-writing/expanding on all that I’ve been debating about Alexander. At the moment, I’d say he’s staying in and there *might* be some romance between him and Astrid…at the very least, he’s a concerned friend! I’m debating about how much Mina should tell him (if at all) as, after all, she’s not supposed to be sharing vampire secrets with humans…
As for Astrid, her fate is still being decided. I know what her first and second “acts” will be but not how she’s going to wind up…

First off I would like to say, thank you for letting us help you write the third installment of this series. It will make the book even more special when someone can look at it and go “ya I tossed in some ideas for that book”. At least I know I will.
First off I just reread your books and saw that you lived in IL. What did you like best about this place (p.s. I live in IL to)?

Are George’s parents going to be more involved in book 3?

Geez sorry so many things, guess I am making up for not responding to a couple of previous questions lol. I just love tossing in ideas. The idea of possibly giving a great author an idea for her book is awesome.

Where are you moving?
I re-read the short story (which I totally love by the way) and I can’t help but want Mina and George to be a bit more “couple-ish”? Is that a real word? Well anyways, I was thinking maybe they could have a romantic date or something just so “awwww,” if I am making any sense.
I don’t think Mina really spends enough time with George! Mina spent more time with Cameron in the second book than she did with George in the first book. I actually think she has a better life with Cameron,but it almost seemed that she wasn’t sad enough when Cameron left.You would think she would be a little more sad than she was!
