This is what the bookplates look like (before I sign ‘em)!
There are now TWO ways to get free signed bookplates & book swag (bookmarks, temporary tattoos, etc…whatever I have on hand for my books…I usually order in new stuff when I have a new book come out).
ONE: Sign up for my newsletter. It’s infrequent and I often stick in special giveaways, including bookplates and swag (not to mention t-shirts and books). Plus you get news about my books and behind the scenes stuff that I don’t post on my website. Win, win!

TWO: Alternatively, even though you can’t send me an SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) from the US to the UK, you can send an International Reply Coupon (IRC).
These are purchasable from any post office (in the US or other countries) or online at the USPS.gov website (current price as of July 2012 is $2.20 in the US).

What happened to the totally-free-I-just-fill-out-a-form-and-you-send-me-stuff thing?
Sadly, I’ve had to remove the offer for completely free signed bookplates and book swag because I simply cannot afford to send out all of the requests that have come in due to this being re-posted to various “freebie” sites on the Internet.
It has actually always cost me more money to send out the book swag than I make from the sale of a book but I’ve still sent them out all these years because I love my fans. And I still do! I just don’t wanna go broke.
It was okay when I was getting just a couple of requests a week, but when I get in over 300 in just a few hours I simply cannot afford to do it because of the shipping costs to the US from the UK. This is especially an issue when it’s pretty obvious that the majority of the requests that have come in recently are from people who have never heard of me or my books and were led here by a link that claimed I was sending out free “samples.” Someone even asked me to send a catalog! I also don’t have enough supplies to fulfill all the requests as many people asked for 50 (!) or other large numbers of items (and since I’ve only had three books published so far, I dunno why you’d want 50 signed bookplates with your name on them…).
So, I do apologize, but the offer is no longer valid.
