Where does the story take place?
It’s set in California. The name of the town isn’t mentioned, but it’s a coastal one.
What are Mina’s parents named?

Mina (of course)

This isn’t in the book, but her full name is Mina Marie Hamilton
What does Mina look like?
Mina is pretty tall (almost as tall as her dad) and thin. She’s got kind of curly, slightly unruly hair that is mostly brown, but with some reddish bits too (her mom has red hair). In book one, she’s got brown eyes.
